Finally we’re past the craziness of holiday season! Unfortunately with the holiday season though comes a serious show drought in Boston for another month. To shake off a bit of those slow time blues, Boston locals Cold Collective will be playing the sweet spot at O’Briens tonight as part of Themed Out Thursdays, a new residency put on by LikeYouSaid.com and BSTNBRND!

It will be a great opportunity to see a band that is sure to be all over your airwaves this upcoming year. Fronted by former Transit member, Tim Landers, the band completed a full US run with Emarosa and Anarbor late fall 2016 and have both a full length and a new EP under their belt. Only dropping their first single, Wanna Change, in late 2015, they’ve achieved incredible success so far. I was lucky enough to catch one of their first shows as a band if not the first a year ago right around this time in the same venue and it was so electric.

Tonight is the first show for the band this year so it’s only right that they start off this sure to be incredible year with a hometown show. They promised some surprises as well as some new tunes so come warm up with these local favorites! Also playing are Zero Holds and Children of the Night!

Themed Out Thursdays will be an ongoing residency at O’Brien’s for the next several months. Doors always at 8:00 pm and upcoming acts include Half Hearted Hero and Rival Island! It’s a great way for local bands to get exposure and is sure to be a hit these next few weeks!
