AIR Making First Boston Appearance in Seven Years

French duo AIR, one of the biggest names in Electronic music are returning to North America for a rare run of dates stateside. The pair, composed of Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel formed the band in 1995 after meeting during their High School years.

Since the release of their debut album “Moon Safari” in 1998 the duo have achieved significant international success scoring multiple top 10 albums in more than 6 countries. In the United States however, they have remained more of a cult favorite, a well kept secret if you will, known in only select circles, allowing US fans the treat of seeing the band play intimate venues up close.

Last year, the duo release a compilation album titled “Twentyears” comprised of their greatest hits, rare tracks, and a special edition disc featuring AIR’s remixes of other artists including David Bowie, Depeche Mode, and Beck. They have been on the road in support of “Twentyyears” since last year, now finally arriving to play to their US fans.

AIR’s legacy in the electronic music scene is well known and their influence is still felt today with modern electronic artists. Earlier this year they released a special EP for Record Store day titled “Le Soleil Est Pres de Moi
