PHOTOS: King Princess, Banoffee, Severity Stone in Boston, MA 01.25.19

Editor’s note: A couple of weeks ago when the Boston Calling lineup was unveiled, many of you probably began digging into the musical catalogs of the names on the bill. One of those names is King Princess, and if you weren’t already familiar with her, boy have you been missing out. The Brooklyn born singer and multi-instrumentalist burst onto the scene last year behind the monster single “1950” which achieved Gold record status in the US in under a year. Late last year she dropped the single “Pussy Is God” which has since amassed nearly 10 million streams on Spotify, and on Friday, hours before her show in Boston she debuted the result of a collaboration with Fiona Apple, a reworked version of Apple’s 1999 song “I Know.” Early Friday evening King Princess took the stage at a sold-out Royale in Downtown Boston along with support from Aussie EDM artist Banoffee and a drag show performance from local performer Severity Stone.
