Editor’s note: Chicago based pop punk band Knuckle Puck were one of the hardest working bands to emerge out of the 2010’s emo/pop punk revival scene. In the middle of the decade it seemed as if they were on tour 365 days a year playing festivals, opening on big tours, and playing their own headline shows. Now they’re kicking off the new decade hoping to get that momentum rolling again, they’re currently on a mostly sold out underplay tour headlining intimate venues across the US, have just dropped a new song and music video, and are scheduled to head out on tour as an opener for the New Found Glory + Simple Plan co-headliner this summer – and it’s only February. On Wednesday (February 26) we caught up with them as they headlined ONCE Ballroom in Somerville, MA, playing a raucous sold out show while dodging a non-stop barrage of crowd surfers. We have the visual evidence of the intense gig below including shots from Heart Attack Man, One Step Closer, and Anxious.
