PHOTOS: Modest Mouse in Boston, MA (08.06.21)
Editor’s note: There’s something about Modest Mouse playing Boston’s Seaport frequently-changing-names pavilion venue that fits just right. Dating back as far as 2002 the Washington state based sextet has been visiting the amphitheater off and on when making tour stops in the metro Boston area. Maybe it’s the band’s many references to sailing and the ocean, but hearing them play with a cool sea-breeze coming in just makes for an extraordinary concert experience. On Friday night, the band was back in town, touring in support of their new studio album The Golden Casket. As always, the scene was set even a few hours before the show, with several Modest Mouse loyalists inhabiting Seaport bars in anticipation of the show.
