Broken irrigation pipe forces show cancellation at Middle East
Fans at last night’s Show Me the Body gig at Middle East Downstairs got an unexpected surprise when a crowd surfer knocked loose a sprinkler irrigation pipe above the stage during the set of opener Candy. An endless stream of water rained down on the stage and venue floor as fans scattered away. It wasn’t until the Cambridge Fire Department arrived on scene that the water was finally stopped.
The mishap unfortunately forced the remainder of the show to be cancelled before Show Me the Body even had a chance to take the stage.
Tonight’s show with Stick to Your Guns + Stray From the Path is on as scheduled, but has been moved to the upstairs room.
