Editor’s note: South African born singer-songwriter Alice Phoebe Lou recently surprised her fans by dropping her second full length album of 2021. Previously unannounced, Child’s Play was recorded over a ten day period with drummer Ziv Yamin and bassist Dekel Adin. The surprise record also happened to coincide with her lone New England stop on her fall tour. Her other release of 2021, Glow, came out in March to widely popular reviews. Alexandra Santos, who was already scheduled to cover the show prior to the surprise album, got a chance to capture some images from what turned out to be a very special night at Brighton Music Hall.
