PHOTOS: The Wombats, Clubhouse in Boston, MA (01.26.22)
English indie-rockers The Wombats are longtime favorites of ours here at New England Sounds, so naturally whenever they’re in the area we try to catch up with them. This time around they’re on tour on support of their latest release Fix Yourself, Not the World which came out on January 14th. The album debuted at No. 1 in the UK, the groups first ever No. 1 album. Recording remotely during COVID-19 lockdowns the album features production credits from legendary names such as Jacknife Lee and electronic mastermind Paul Meany. During their set the trio drew from all five albums in their catalog with an obvious emphasis on the newest one. We were of course on hand to capture some fun visuals from the night’s action.
