How many chances do you get to say you were there for the birth of a new music festival?
Speaking from personal experience, I can say that Boston Calling Music Festival is literally and figuratively miles away from where it began. Watching it grow from a two-day event at City Hall Plaza with mostly under-the-radar indie acts to the behemoth it is now at three days, four stages, and some of the biggest names in music has certainly been a trip. I’m sure that anyone who’s been riding with Greater Boston’s other big festival, Levitate Music and Arts Festival would tell you the same thing about that one.
This year is your chance to say you were there for the first ever In Between Days Festival, the final piece of what will soon be known as the Holy Trinity of Boston-area music festivals. In case you missed the announcement, the festival will take place at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Quincy, MA this coming Saturday (August 20th).
The brainchild of the people behind Heritage Sports Ventures, it will feature some big-name talent with headliners Manchester Orchestra as well as performances from Hippo Campus, Tennis, and more. The on-site experience will also feature a retro arcade, ice cream stand, vintage shopping, and festival staples like food, beer, and a photo booth.
Veterans Memorial Stadium is located at 850 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA, 02170.
There will be free first come, first serve on-site parking, with VIP reserved parking for $40.00. It’s also accessible by public transit via the Red Line at Wollaston T stop. From Wollaston, it’s either a 15-minute walk on foot or a short ride on the 210 bus line which runs approximately once an hour on Saturdays. For specific details on the trip click HERE.
