Live Review: Two Door Cinema Club gave it all at The Sinclair(6/4)!

Two Door Cinema Club is a band that no music lover can go without seeing in their life. The band skyrocketed to success with the release of their debut record “Tourist History” in 2010 and quickly followed it up with “Beacon” in 2012. After three or so years of the band constantly touring the world, there was a dark period of no new music from the band. Until now. The band started popping up on festival bills from Firefly to Lollapalooza to Governor’s Ball and for a few select cities, they announced tiny room shows that sold out instantly!
One of those shows went down Saturday night at The Sinclair. Not only was this a room that is way too small for this band, it was also their first US performance in three years! The fandom for this band didn’t go anywhere even though the band may have not been visiting lately. The room was packed with a group of people that never left the floor and no one was too cool to not be dancing the whole time. The band played an extensive set list with a three song encore and made it look way too easy while they rocked their way through their catalogue. The band even live debuted a new track, “Gameshow”, which is a clear indication that new music is coming from the band.

Considering this show sold out instantly, it was a beautiful way to come back for Two Door and is only a fabulous indication that this band will be making their way back around the states soon again. They are one of the best and the band that truly opened the door for the current class of alternative rock in Europe to come and test out the states. Catch them doing the festival circuit this summer and hopefully again some time soon in Boston!
