Being hump day and all, I have the perfect relief tonight for Boston music lovers! I feel like this show went under the radar but it is a no-miss! California boys in Vista Kicks are here for their first show in Boston ever and they’ll be opening it up for Birmingham, UK’s Swim Deep. The latter have only opened here for someone but the someone was The 1975 last December at House of Blues. Tickets are at $15 at the doors which open at 8:00 pm with Vista Kicks starting the show at 9:00 pm!

Vista Kicks dropped their new EP ‘Chasing Waves’ a short two months ago in April and it just screams surf rock. Surf rock with a punkier then normal edge that is. Only a few songs in, I’m already over the moon about the vibes this incredibly talented band is putting out. I feel like the room will be on fire tonight and you know you want to be part of that experience before this band blows up.

To end off the night, mind you it’s only a two band bill so it’s sure to be a relaxed little treat, the boys in Swim Deep will take the stage. Swim Deep is a bit more of the mod-rock feel but it will be a smooth transition into something a little bit different from Vista Kicks but don’t you want variety anyways? The vibes will be strong through out the night. Heads will be bobbing and like I said before, this room will be on fire. I think these two bands are going to blend together beautifully. While their latest, “Mothers”, has been out for a little while, it’s their first tour in the US for the album so it will be sure to be a treat.
