Editor’s note: In any given year, there are always a handful of shows that stand out among the plethora of live music events your average music journalist attends. On Saturday night Great Scott played host to one of those shows as Los Angeles singer/songwriter Phoebe Bridgers came to town. The show sold out months in advance and the venue was packed to the gills by showtime. Adding to the atmosphere, well-known folk artist Conor Oberst joined Bridgers onstage for a surprise appearance to perform the song “Would You Rather” that Oberst and Bridgers recorded together.
