The early 2000’s were a great time for guitar driven indie rock, bands like The White Stripes, The Strokes, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs were dominating the airwaves with infectious singles that we still hear pretty often today. Glasgow, Scotland’s Franz Ferdinand were right there among them with hits like “Take Me Out” and “Do You Want To?” but they found their biggest success at home in the UK. Every few years though, Franz Ferdinand make a trip stateside to play for their US fans. This year they’re back again and have brought a new album with them. Always Ascending, their 5th studio album was released in February is availible now. On Tuesday night, the group played to a well filled House of Blues right next door to the Red Sox vs Yankees game at Fenway Park. Check out some scenes from the show below.
