Editor’s note: For those of us going out to live shows this fall, we’ve quickly gotten used to having to provide proof of vaccination status or a negative COVID test for entry to a show, 0n Oct 4th. Proof of vaccination status ONLY will officially be the industry standard. But long before it became the norm, Jason Isbell blazed the trail – through a hefty barrage of backlash – to require the safety guidelines in order to attend his headline tour. Now into it’s third month his largely uninterrupted tour is the gold standard, as some acts have seen their entire tours come apart. But, with all that said, what’s quickly been lost among the headlines is that Jason Isbell and & 400 Unit put out a No. 1 Country record called Reunions last year that was considered by many as one of the best overall records of 2020. On Saturday night the tour rolled into Boston’s theater district at Boch Center’s Wang Theatre. Check out photos below from Isbell & the 400 Unit’s performance.
