Editor’s note: New Orleans rapper Rob49 is one of the hottest names in the game right now, In 2023 he was featured on the historic XXL’s Freshman Class cover, one of hip hop’s highest honors. His 2022 project Welcome to Vulture Island established him as a major player as it quickly amassed over 358 million streams. Last year he cut a single titled “Mama” with Detroit rapper Skilla Baby, that single currently has just under 16 million streams on Spotify alone. Similar to Rob49, Skilla Baby is a fast rising star, last year he came to international prominence when he was mentioned on the Jack Harlow track “Lovin on Me.” Rob49 and Skilla baby are currently on tour together, and last night the tour arrived in New England for the first of two shows. Last night’s show took place in Hartford, CT and tonight the pair will do it all over again at Big Night Live in Boston. Check out photos from last night’s show below.
