NIKI shares new single “Blue Moon” will kick off US tour in Boston this September

Indonesian singer-songwriter and 88rising signee NIKI shared her latest single today, a cut titled “Blue Moon” off her upcoming album Buzz due August 9th. Speaking on the writing of the song NIKI shares: “I wrote Blue Moon lamenting the slow, then sudden demise of a truly significant relationship. It’s about the deepest and rarest of loves we might stumble upon (once in the bluest of moons, if we’re lucky), and then realizing we’d stumbled upon it too early for it to stand a chance. It’s that classic trope of right person, wrong time”

Like the album’s lead single “Too Much Of A Good Thing” the new track is co-produced with close friend and collaborator Ethan Gruska. In addition to vocals, NIKI contributed drums, guitar, and piano. The song also features string arrangement from multi-instrumentalist Rob Moose.

This fall NIKI will embark on her largest world tour to date, a 41 show run going from September to November. Included on the tour are dates in Canada, Europe, and Asia amongst others. The US portion of the tour starts right here in New England with a headline show at MGM Music Hall in Boston, MA. Tickets for that show are available HERE.
