Hot Gig Alert (11.04) : The Collect Pond play Election Night rally for Willie Burnley Jr.

Tomorrow is Election Day in Massachusetts; across the state, races for several state and municipal offices will come to an end. Including in Somerville, where the competitive race to succeed incumbent mayor Katjana Ballantyne has come down to two candidates: Willie Burnley Jr. and Jake Wilson.

Crystal Ballroom in Somerville will play host to an election night rally/concert in support of Burnley Jr., featuring performances by several local acts, including The Collect Pond. The Collect Pond is the name under which songwriter Danny Moffat produces and releases his own music.  On June 13th, they released their lead single “Every Little Thing is the Same.” On August 5th, they released “Cemetery Man” with a music video, and on September 5th, they dropped a new album, Absence of Something, on Candlepin Records via tape cassette and digital streaming. An audio engineer and teacher by trade, Moffat wrote and produced all the songs.

The Collect Pond play Crystal Ballroom (55 Davis Square, Somverille, MA 02144) on Tuesday, November 4th. The event is 21+, doors open at 6 pm, and The Collect Pond takes the stage at 6:15. Entry is free.
