LIVE REVIEW: KATSEYE in Boston, MA (11.19.25)
Global pop sensation KATSEYE performed a high-energy sold-out show at MGM Music Hall in Boston, as part of the highly anticipated Beautiful Chaos Tour. Eyekons from all over New England made their way towards the Fenway venue, excited to experience the group’s first-ever headliner dates, with fan-led celebrations starting earlier this month, from local tea shops to K-pop specialized stores. The crowd quickly packed the room, with colorful outfits referencing Katseye’s unique style, lightsticks in hand, ready for an unforgettable evening.
Fans erupted in screams as soon as the lights went down, and the show started off strong with “Debut”, the group’s first single right after the reality show Dream Academy, where the sextet was formed. Eyekons were treated to the first of many dance breaks, proving right off the bat the girls’ much celebrated dancing skills; many were seen effortlessly following along to every move from their seats. After “Gameboy” and the softer “I’m Pretty”, the group did their greetings and introductions: one by one, Sophia, Manon, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae were touched by the crowd’s cheers. Some of the members had special connections in the audience, with Megan saying some of her family was present, and Manon also recognizing a high school friend.
Soon, the girls would bring the energy back up, performing “Internet Girl”, an unreleased upcoming single that many fans already recognized from TikTok fancams at previous stops; the group was surprised at how fans were so hyped up and singing along. After they discussed the new track, lead dancers Daniela and Megan demonstrated a bit of the choreography, then they moved on to a quick performance of the viral GAP ad, dancing to Kelis’ “Milkshake”. They closed the first act with “Gabriela”, including the iconic Lollapalooza dance break.
After a heartwarming VCR from their Dream Academy days, including interviews done before the group’s final formation, they went on to perform a medley of songs from the reality show, in KATSEYE’s style. Later, Yoonchae, the group’s maknae, would introduce “Time Lapse”, sharing how much she loves that she gets to sing in Korean, her native language. A fan favorite soon followed the touching performance, KATSEYE’s rendition of “Monster High Fright Song”, followed by the heaviest hitters of the night: the fiery “M.I.A” gave way to the iconic “They could describe everything with one single word…” line, making the room immediately explode with the mega hit “Gnarly”. Fans wouldn’t wait too long for the encore, as the girls returned for “Touch” and the empowering “My Way”, bringing the show to a close.
KATSEYE’s performance was short, explosive, and jam-packed with powerful vocals and high-energy choreography, making sure Boston Eyekons walked out in awe, already longing for next time.
