Scottish rock giants Biffy Clyro were in New England last night for their first area show in nearly five years. The trio, who typically sell out arenas and headline festivals in the UK have released two new albums since their last visit, A Celebration of Endings in 2020 and The Myth of the Happily Ever After late last year. Playing at the 1,500-capacity Big Night Live, the show was an intimate experience for the group’s American fans who rarely get the opportunity to see them live. With four consecutive No. 1 albums in their native Scotland and three of their last four albums coming in at No.1 in the overall United Kingdom, Biffy Clyro are one of the region’s most popular artists. Earlier this year they also released an hour-long documentary chronicling the making of their most recent album while working through the challenges presented by the pandemic. The special, Cultural Sons of Scotland is currently available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. We had the chance to cover last night’s show and photograph Biffy’s set, along with openers Dead Poet Society whose local ties run deep after having met and formed at Berklee College of Music. You can see all the photos below.
