Welsh group Stereophonics brought their signature blend of anthemic rock and soulful ballads to House of Blues in Boston on Wednesday night, delivering a powerhouse performance that proved they’re as electrifying as ever. Opening with “Caught by the Wind”from their latest album Oochya!, the band wasted no time setting the tone for an unforgettable evening.
Kelly Jones’ commanding vocals anchored the show, effortlessly gliding between tracks like “Dakota” and “Maybe Tomorrow,” each one drawing the crowd closer. The energy in the venue was palpable, especially during fan favorites like “Local Boy in the Photograph,” which sent the audience into a nostalgic frenzy.
While much of the setlist focused on their classic hits, newer tracks like “Do It Right” were well-received, proving the band’s ability to balance old and new material seamlessly. Guitarist Adam Zindani and bassist Richard Jones provided tight, textured instrumentation, while drummer Jamie Morrison’s precision kept the momentum strong throughout the night.
