Vudu Sister share new single “The Valley”
Today, gothic folk ensemble Vudu Sister shared their new single, “The Valley” this morning. The track is a blend of chamber gothic and romantic classical influence from the Providence, RI based band.
“I’m fascinated by the juxtaposition of holy, sacred sites and places of plague and disease; the pure and the impure,” states Vudu Sister songwriter Keith J.G McCurdy. “The lyrics are bleak and hopeless, reminding the listener that sometimes, a home can become a hell.” The tune features a collaboration with solo cellist and vocalist, Silver Rein (Sarah Green) from Ithaca, NY, who contributes lush, orchestral electric cello arrangements.
The group will be performing at Somergloom Festival at Crystal Ballroom in Somerville, MA tonight. Doors for the show are 7 pm with music beginning at 8 pm. Tickets are available – HERE.
