Editor’s note: Fresh off the release of their seventh studio album, I Used To Go To This Bar, earlier this year, Torrance, CA trio Joyce Manor were in Boston on Saturday night. The record was produced by SoCal punk legend Brett Gurewitz (Bad Religion, Epitaph Records CEO). Before Saturday’s show, frontman Barry Johnson joined The Format in the Boston Common for a special free acoustic performance featuring local activist organizations. Saturday’s show featured eight songs from the new album, mixed together with cuts from throughout the band’s career. After performing at Coachella next month, Joyce Manor will be back in New England in early June with shows scheduled in Nashua, NA (June 6th) and New Haven, CT (June 7th) for tickets to those shows and full tour routing click HERE. Srikar Kolluru was at the show covering for New England Sounds, check out his work below.
