Editor’s note: Japanese Breakfast, the solo project of indie pop vocalist Michelle Zauner, were in Cambridge last night to play a sold out show at The Sinclair in Harvard Square. Japanese Breakfast are on the road in support of their second studio album, “Soft Sounds from Another Planet ” which was released in July. The tour is the first ever headline tour for Zauner’s Japanese Breakfast project, but the band already has a significant fan base, with two of their songs cracking the one million streams plateau on Spotify. Having spent time as an opening act with artists such as Mitski and Slowdive, Japanese Breakfast have already garnered the attetion of huge media publications such as NPR,  Pitchfork, and SPIN Magazine. The US leg of their tour wraps up tonight with a show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY. Supporting Japanese Breakfast on this run is punk rock outfit Mannequin Pussy.
