Editor’s note: Even with a ‘bomb cyclone’ pounding most of Massachusetts, the loyal fanbase of Laura Pergolizzi (known as LP) came out in droves on Friday night, to pack Boylston St.’s Royale Nightclub. LP’s fans waited for hours in the driving rain and cold temperatures to get their spots for what would prove to be a very exciting show. The roar of the room as LP hit the stage was huge, and her passionate fan base was singing along to every song right from the start. Several fans in the front row had even brought gifts such as books or CDs to hand LP, which she happily accepted while strutting her way through her set. LP is touring behind her 2016 album Lost On You and the MONSTER hit song of the same name, which climbed to number 1 on the charts in over a dozen countries worldwide. The music video for the song has also amassed close to 200 million views on YouTube and it has racked up over 90 million streams on Spotify.
