Editor’s note: Alt rock outfits Joywave and Sir Sly have teamed up for what may be one of the best under the radar co-headline runs of the fall concert season. Joywave is on the road promoting Content, their July 2017 sophomore LP, which debuted at No. 8 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart. The 11-track electro-rock album, released on Cultco Music and Hollywood Records, contains the singles “Content,” “It’s a Trip!,” “Shutdown,” “Doubt,” and “Going to a Place.” Sir Sly, meanwhile are showcasing material from their own sophomore LP, Don’t You Worry, Honey. A synth-driven album, released in June 2017 on Interscope Records, gave birth to five singles: “High,” “Altar,” “Astronaut,” “&Run,” and “Change.” On Friday night the tour made it’s lone New England stop with a show at Royale in Boston, MA.
