Sunday night, eight-piece American rock band The Revivalists stormed the House of Blues Boston with all the energy and veracity of a band playing their very first gig, but this isn’t the band’s first rodeo by any means. The Revivalists have been around since 2007, and their latest album, Take Good Care is their fourth full-length album to date. The Revivalists are composed of: David Shaw on vocals, George Gekas on bass, Zack Feinberg on guitar, Rob Ingraham on saxes, Ed Williams on guitar and pedal steel, Andrew Campanelli on drums, Michael Girardot on sax and keyboards, and PJ Howard on percussion.

From the first note, The Revivalists made sure that no foot was stationed on the floor of The House of Blues Boston, at least not for very long, and every face in the crowd was smiling ear to ear. Shaw came out on the catwalk to bump fists and hand the mic off to concert goers, jumping at every edge of the stage. Musical comradery was abounding as fans came together under an all-encompassing, soulful umbrella of infectious pop tunes that The Revivalists brought with them for the night.
