Join New England Sounds photographer Kristen Higgins at her first gallery opening
If you’re a regular visitor to New England Sounds you’re probably familiar with the contributions of the talented Kristen Higgins. Kristen photographs and reviews live shows, as well as bringing us content for the Local Sounds column that shines a spotlight on local artists. This Sunday (July 7th) Kristen will step into the spotlight herself as she hosts Colorfully, Curiously, an opening reception for a gallery of her photographs at Coffee and Cotton in Lowell, MA.
Kristen’s first contribution to New England Sounds came in October 2018 and she has been a huge part of our site’s content ever since. On Sunday you can see some of her concert photos alongside her other works. Speaking about her gallery opening Kristen says: Colorfully, Curiously will be my first gallery in my photography career! Join me to usher in one month of my prints hanging in Coffee and Cotton, hear me talk about my photo origins, some of my biggest mistakes, and most exciting successes, and how this craft has made me work harder on recovering from some of the darker moments in my life and, by extension, offering the same relief to the folks who work with me through this process.
