Alt-rock luminaires and hometown heroes Pixies were back in Boston last night playing to a sold-out crowd at MGM Music Hall. The group are out promoting their 2022 album Doggerel, their eighth studio album to date. Throughout the show they would play several tracks from the new record, but also plenty from their storied discography. In fact, by the end of their show, they had played the most songs from their 1989 album Doolittle. No doubt the hometown audience had a lot to do with revisiting plenty of classics. Supporting Pixies on their current run is Scottish outfit Franz Ferdinand who scored several hits in the early to late 2000’s, as well as modern grunge project Bully, lead by singer, guitarist, and songwriter Alicia Bognanno. We had the opportunity to catch the show, check out photos of all three bands below.
