Hip hop legend T-Pain went independent three years ago and since then it’s been an uphill climb. The Grammy winning rapper has openly talked about his struggles with depression and working through that while also trying to stay relevant. His first release since going independent is a long shelved covers album called, On Top of the Covers. Last night he arrived at a sold out MGM Music Hall to play a mix of original songs, covers, and tracks he had a feature on. Even though it was a weeknight the Boston crowd made the atmosphere feel like a Saturday night. Three up and coming rappers Tobi Lou, NandoSTL, and Young Cash played support for the night.
