Editor’s note: Legendary KISS guitarist Ace Frehley was in New England last week for a pair of shows, one in Rhode Island and one in Vermont. Frehley is promoting his new studio album 10,000 Volts that came out in late February. The album is Frehley’s tenth studio album since leaving KISS, he has released eight under his own name and two under the band name Frehley’s Comet. 10,000 Volts did manage to find it’s way into the Billboard 200, debuting at #72 the week of it’s release. Last Friday’s show consisted of mostly KISS songs, plus one song from his new solo record, “Rip It Out.” Despite some sound issues with the venue’s PA Frehley and his backing band persisted to put on a 15 song set for the Woonsocket crowd. New contributor Mike Von Villas was on hand at Friday’s Rhode Island show, capturing some images from it. Check out his work below.
