PHOTOS: Slipknot in Mansfield, MA (08.15.24)
When heavy metal giants Slipknot first announced their summer tour for 2024 they didn’t let on that they were planning to play their self-titled debut album in full (minus the track “Diluted”) at every show. But early on in last Thurday’s show frontman Corey Taylor announced that the show wouldn’t be for the casual Slipknot fan, and promised the crowd they wouldn’t be hearing any song released after 1999, the year their debut album was released. The group then ripped through an intense one hour, fifteen minute set in front of a scaled back (for them) production that uncharacteristically included no pyro or explosions. You can see photos from the show below including some of support act Knocked Loose who whipped the crowd into a frenzy before Slipknot came on. The band also performed in New Hampshire last week as well.
