Editor’s note: It was a pretty good crowd for a Saturday as rock & roll legend and cultural icon Billy Joel was back in New England over the weekend for his first area show since summer 2023. Joel headlined Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut, playing The Constitution State for only the second time in the last seventeen years. The other appearance coming in the form of a 2022 headline slot at the Greenwich Town Party festival where tickets are available exclusively to residents of Greenwich, CT. Joel’s visits to the New England area typically take place at Fenway Park or Gillette Stadium, but this week he elected to play the more intimate 10,000 seat capacity arena. Mike Von Villas was on hand at Joel’s show on Saturday night, check out a few images from the event below.
