Maine native Finn Hansbury shares new single, “The Queen,” listen now

New England artist Finn Hansbury released his newest single “The Queen” on February 21st. Writing about a close friendship gone wrong, Finn sings about the anguish of caring for someone who, to put it simply, does not care.
“As a queer person, I’ve struggled with feeling overlooked by friends who only see me as a support system, as a sidekick who is always there for them,” says Hansbury about the track. “The stereotype of the ‘gay best friend’ can be hard to escape, and that’s what this song is about. The Queen” is sure to resonate with anyone who has felt overlooked and underappreciated.”
Hansbury lists artists such as Hozier, Brandi Carlile, and Paul Simon as inspirations, known for their lyrical prowess. “The Queen” was recorded at Berklee College of Music and was Produced by Hansbury himself and fellow Berklee student Asher Hall, “The Queen” features Finn on vocals and acoustic guitar, Asher on electric guitar, Guy Malka on electric bass, Q Adamson on the drums, and Shannon O’Donnell on background vocals.
