PHOTOS: Ben Kweller, Ryman in Boston, MA (04.22.25)

Veteran singer-songwriter Ben Kweller entered the most personal era of his long career by announcing his latest album, Cover The Mirrors. Due out in May, the title references a Jewish tradition of covering reflective surfaces in one’s home during a mourning period. Kweller’s new record is the first since the loss of his sixteen-year-old son Dorian to a car accident in February of 2023. For this tour, Kweller has put together a setlist with a large number of songs from the upcoming albums, but also featuring differing songs from throughout his career each night. Kweller even took requests for a couple songs during the solo acoustic portion of the set. During the show, he also hinted at some TBA tour dates in smaller markets of New England such as Northampton, MA, and Brattleboro, VT coming later in the year.
