PHOTOS: Moon Over Salem – Choke Up, Cape Crush, Hyber + more (09.13.25)
Downtown Salem, MA was overtaken by local music fans on Saturday, September 13 during the annual Moon Over Salem Music & Community Benefit Festival, put on by MOON – a 100% volunteer run non-profit, Music Organizers of the North Shore. Featuring over 40 artists, the “Witch City” was a truly special place for the local music scene to converge on a beautiful day. The fest took place at 7 venues across town- Cinema Salem, Moon Base One, Charlotte Forten Park, Bitbar Salem, Koto Asian Fusion, Felt Fanatic, and Salem Public Access. MOON opened an all ages, sober venue on Artist’s Row in Salem earlier this year, and the non-profit works hard at hosting shows and a small shop on weekends and select weekdays throughout the month. Moon also raises funds for scholarships for local musicians, and has a training program for those of all ages interested in gaining experience in live show productions.
