Editor’s note: Earlier this month, Mohegan Sun got a heavy dose of hair metal nostalgia with a triple bill featuring legendary vocalist Sebastian Bach, Los Angeles band Quiet Riot, and Las Vegas natives Slaughter. Bach is out promoting his 2024 record Child Within the Man, released last May via Reigning Phoenix Music. In addition to new music, Bach also played several of his hit songs from his time as lead singer of Skid Row, as well as covers of Ozzy Osbourne and Gordon Lightfoot, and a special KISS cover dedicated to Ace Frehley, who passed away the previous day. Meanwhile, both Quiet Riot and Slaughter focused on the nostalgia of their earlier and most legendary works. Bassist Rudy Sarzo, the last remaining original member of the band, leads Quiet Riot. At the same time, Slaughter still features two of the band’s original members, including vocalist and band namesake Mark Slaughter. Mike Von Villas was on hand enjoying the nostalgic sounds of the iconic bands, check out his work below.
