Last night, with English soccer fans arriving in town for tonight’s World Cup match vs Ghana, English folk rock band Mumford & Sons took over Fenway Park as they tour to promote their new studio album, Prizefighter. Recorded in just ten days, at the studio of Aaron Dessner, Prizefighter is the groups’ sixth studio album and is their second in the last two years, following last year’s Rushmere. The album debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and No 1. on the UK album charts. The Fenway show comes after the group played in Bangor, ME earlier this month and will return to New England later this year at BankNH Pavilion in August.
