PHOTOS: Sammy Hagar, Rick Springfield in Mansfield, MA (06.24.26)
Editor’s note: The legendary Red Rocker, Sammy Hagar, was back in New England late last month, back on the latest leg of the Best of All Worlds tour that launched in 2024 and previously visited New England that year. Hagar is still touring with an all-star lineup that includes original Van Halen member Michael Anthony, guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani, drummer Kenny Aronoff, and keyboardist Nathan Mercado. Hagar had previously toured with that lineup – minus Mercado – in 2011 to 2012 as part of the Chickenfoot project, a short lived supergroup featuring Hagar, Satriani, Anthony, and originally Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. Aronoff replaced Smith for the final Chickenfoot tour. This time around they’re playing almost exclusively Van Halen material with a few songs from Hagar’s solo career mixed in. His recent appearance featured a support set from fellow legendary rocker Rick Springfield. Mike Von Villas caught the tour as it passed through New England, check out his photos of both acts below.
