Over a decade after “Trap Queen” first took over airwaves, Fetty Wap brought his Nostalgia Tour to MGM Music Hall at Fenway on August 1st. The New Jersey native, fresh off of his release from prison earlier this year and riding the momentum of his new album Zavier, proved exactly why he became a defining voice of a generation, commanding the stage with the same charisma that built his career from the ground up. There’s something different about watching an artist perform when you know what it took just to get back on that stage. You could feel it in the way he moved, the way he smiled, and the way he leaned into the crowd like he’d missed them as much as they missed him.

And they hadn’t forgotten a single word. Fans sang along like it was 2016 all over again, proving that Fetty Wap’s catalogue has only grown more timeliness with age. Ten years, countless hits, and a room full of people who never stopped believing in him. Boston made sure he felt every bit of it.
