Emo mainstays Taking Back Sunday are gearing up for the release of their 7th studio album “Tidal Wave” this September. The album is due out September 16th, and to celebrate it’s release TBS will be embarking on an intimate small club tour this fall.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, frontman Adam Lazzara stated “Our idea is to go to the smallest clubs we can get to, we’d like to debut this record as honestly as we can and what better way to do that in a small club? Outside of a week there in the middle, it’s a two band bill, so we’re going to have to play for a long time.”

In addition, in the facebook announcement the band stated they were doing small clubs because there are “no rules” prompting speculation they may be playing shows with no barricade to create that punk rock feel.

Taking Back Sunday just wrapped up the Taste of Chaos tour in which they were playing amphitheaters alongside fellow emo heroes Dashboard Confessional. Support on this run will come from Florida emos You Blew It! on all dates except two. Tickets for the Tidal Wave tour go onsale Thursday, 7/21 at Noon local time.
