Editor’s note: Colombian-American pop singer Kali Uchis began 2018 with a significant buzz around her already. The hype only grew after the release of her full-length debut album, Isolation, in April. The album landed at No. 32 on the Billboard 200 and received almost exclusively rave reviews. After appearances at Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza in the spring/summer, Uchis is now out on a headline tour in support of the new album. On Tuesday night the tour rolled into New England where a near-capacity crowd awaited her at House of Blues in Boston. We were on hand to capture her set, along with opener Gabriel Garzón-Montano.
