Editor’s Note: Live music has officially been declared BACK in New England’s largest city – Boston, MA. Everclear kicked off the 2021 edition of their annual Summerland Tour last Thursday evening with the first full capacity show at Boston’s House of Blues in over 480 days. The cathartic concert kicked off with power-pop stalwarts Wheatus, known best for their smash hit single “Teenage Dirtbag” from their 2000 self-titled record. Their performance was followed by Grammy-winning alternative metal legends Living Colour and post-grunge rockers Hoobastank who make at least one appearance on every 2000’s playlist. Everclear closed out the night, after an enthusiastic introduction by Art Alexakis’ daughter Arizona. John Hutchings has your view of the show with a photo gallery below.
The Summerland tour resumes tomorrow night in Houston, TX and will continue throughout July before pausing in August and wrapping up in September. Dates and tickets are available at http://www.summerlandtour.net/
