Editor’s note: Stephen Bruner, who now goes by Thundercat spent nine years playing bass for crossover thrash metal band Suicidal Tendencies before branching out into a solo career. Since then he’s done pretty well for himself, so well in fact that he’s earned two Grammy Awards, the most recent of which came for his 2020 album It Is What It Is. But even before that he endeared himself to Boston music lovers with a stellar appearance at the 2018 Boston Calling Music Festival. With all that in mind, it’s probably no surprise that he was able to book not one, but two, shows headlining Boston’s House of Blues. Brianna Gately was in the photo pit for night one of Thundercat’s two night stand in Boston. Check out her photos below.
