Editor’s note: Canadian rockers Arkells are back in the US this month, touring around the release of their ninth studio album, Laundry Pile. Earlier this year the band took home the 2023 Juno Award for “Group of the Year” in their native Canada. Laundry Pile sees the band return to a more focused sound after branching out with a bevy of features on their last album including Lights, Tegan and Sara, Aly & Aj and more. Arkells’ US tour sees them visiting venues much more intimate than the hockey arenas they play back home. The New England stop came last night in Boston where Emma Egan was in attendance with her camera. Check out her shots below, including a few of opener and electronic rock veteran Robert DeLong.
