PHOTOS: Boys Like Girl, State Champs, The Summer Set in Boston, MA (10.26.23)
Andover, MA natives Boys Like Girls made their triumphant return to the New England area recently, headlining MGM Music Hall for a massive hometown show that was recorded for a later release. Fans entering the venue floor were greeted by a large crane with a camera on the end of it used to record overhead and close up shots of the band during their set. They’re back with a heavy dose of nostalgia and some new music as well. The 1980’s tinted album Sunday at Foxwoods is the group’s first LP in eleven years and first release via Fearless Records. In the time since their last album founding member Paul DiGiovanni and long time bassist Morgan Dorr departed the band leaving only singer Martin Johnson and drummer John Keefe as the bands’ only original members. A full lineup of talented openers are along for the ride on the current run, including State Champs, The Summer Set, and Lolo. Check out photos from the show below.
