Hot Gig Alert (10/18): Enter Shikari announces North American headliner with You Me At Six

Happy Tuesday! Do I have a tour for you that simply can’t be missed? Yes! Freshly announced today, the perfect pairing of UK acts will hit North America starting October 9th in Dallas. That pairing is the synthy beauty of Enter Shikari and rock heroes You Me At Six, a duo that, besides a handful of dates, weirdly enough, haven’t found themselves on tour together until now.

Both are no strangers to Boston and definitely not to The Paradise, where both bands are sure to put on electric performances; this show should be a priority on your radar for this fall! Along for the ride, in that classic three-band UK bill, there will be the Aussies in Yours Truly each night. The lineup is a perfect pairing, and it will be the vehicle for the last You Me At Six shows in North America before the band calls it a day in 2025. Memories resound from both acts at the iconic Paradise for me in the  past. With ES, it was Rou hanging onto a pipe off the ceiling as he pushed out over the crowd. With YMAS, it was a stunning version of their track, “Crash,” as the crowd swooned silently. Amongst, of course, so many more memories from these legacy acts.

Both Enter Shikari and You Me At Six have performed over 10 shows at least if not more, in the MA area. Building a dedicated following, and while their fan base may be smaller than in their home country, those ‘in the know’ understand the privilege of experiencing these legendary acts in more intimate venues than in the UK.

In tandem with the announcement of the tour, Enter Shikari just announced a companion album, Dancing On the Frontline.  This is coming almost a year to the day since their UK #1 album, A Kiss for The Whole World.  Available June 7th, it can be pre-ordered here. As well for You Me At Six, this tour will be the first chance for fans in North America to hear songs off of the band’s final album as a band, Truth Decay, which dropped in February of 2023. But after all, it’s the final gigs for YMAS; I’m sure there will be some hits involved for the band in their final North American shows!

Tickets for the full tour go on sale this Friday, April 26th, at 10:00 AM local time! They will go fast, so jump on them when you can. See you in the pit!
