Preston Lydotes shares new single “5 to 9”
Boston-born singer-songwriter Preston Lydotes shared his latest single, “5 to 9,” this morning. The tune is a working-class anthem dedicated to those who work countless hours of their day. No stranger to the grind, Lydotes has juggled multiple jobs himself – scooping ice cream, serving coffee, teaching, running live sound – all while pursuing a double major and minor degree at Berklee College of Music and working on his artist project. Mixed by Grammy-winner Ariel Borujow, the song is Lydotes second single of 2025, coming after “The Critic In Me,” which came out in January. Lydotes has been releasing music independently since 2022 and is currently releasing his sophomore EP as a batch of singles – “5 to 9” being the fourth, with the previous tracks coming out last year.
