PHOTOS: Sunday (1994), Alisa Xayalith, Don’t Tell Iris in Boston, MA (05.07.25)
LA-based dream pop trio Sunday (1994) have been generating quite a bit of buzz since releasing their self-titled debut EP in 2024. T che band started as a passion project between partners Paige Turner and Lee Newell, both of whom have spent the better part of the last decade working in various roles in the music industry. Turner has also performed under the alias Xylø since 2015, putting out a full length debut record in 2022. Guitarist Lee Newell has also bounced around the industry, most notably spending time with the buzzy britpop outfit Viva Brother who were once held the ‘next big thing’ label in the UK in the early 2010’s. They’ve joined forces with a drummer known as Puma who is a session and touring drummer from LA. For this current tour they’ve also added LA based musician Lola Colette who has assumed bass duties. Two days after their Boston show, Sunday (1994) put out their second EP, Devotion. Check out photos from that show below, including some of Alisa Xayalith and local Boston band Don’t Tell Iris.
