Hot Gig Alert (06.19) Boston’s own Bowling Shoes head for Pawtucket

Boston-based art pop outfit Bowling Shoes are fresh off the release of their new studio album Factory Pop. The record came out in April of this year and is already making waves in the local music scene. This is far from the first time they’ve been noticed, however, as their top song on Spotify currently sits at over 9 million streams, while the band can claim 21.3 thousand monthly listeners on the app.
Jeremiah Bermel (lead vocals), Jake Lutter (bass), and Ben Walker (lead guitar) formed Bowling Shoes after meeting at Massachusetts College of Art & Design in 2017. Growing up in the New England DIY music scene from which they recruited Dimitri Christo (guitar) and Josh Kuhn (drums), they were all familiar with one another’s work.
Factory Pop was tracked at Dead Moon Audio in Somerville MA, and was mixed by Darren Lawson (Glas Vegas, Spiritualized) and mastered by Felix Davis (Lana Del Rey) at Metropolis Studios.
