Editor’s note: Newport Folk’s second day featured standout peformances by flipturn, I’m With Her, Boston locals The Lemonheads, and more. Country star Luke Combs had the honor of closing out the day and delivered a unique performance. Known for his massive production and shotgunning beers at his stadium shows and most festivals, Combs stripped things back to do an acoustic set for most of his performance time and delivered one of the weekend’s most emotional sets.
